These modified MLS head gaskets are engineered to improve cooling efficiency in Gen III and Gen IV LS engines by increasing coolant flow around the cylinders. Seven water jacket holes have been strategically opened to reduce hot spots, stabilize operating temperatures, and improve overall engine efficiency.

Does improving cooling and head gasket design increase horsepower and RPM?
Yes—testing by Robert Yates Racing Engines (RYRE) has proven that improved coolant flow and lower localized temperatures can increase engine efficiency and power output. OEM LS cooling systems are designed to operate at elevated temperatures for emissions and fuel economy, which can limit performance in racing applications. By improving coolant circulation and reducing discharge temperatures, these gaskets help unlock additional power and RPM stability under sustained load.

These are big bore gaskets for 6.0L and 6.2L engines with bore sizes up to 4.100" and a 0.050" compressed thickness. Built from coated multi-layer steel (MLS), they provide excellent sealing strength in high-performance environments.
