These kits are proven builds that you can take advantage of Straub/Fisher proven engine combinations and use your skill set to save you money in your quest of more HP.  With these kits you choose what you want done by Straub Tech and we ship it to your door.

Tech Tp:   Use our cylinder head section to choose how much power you want for your build.  A good rule of thumb for Pump Gas Builds  is to take your HP goal and divide it by the CID to see what it will take to get you what you want:

Below 1.4 HP per Cube or lower….Very mild can burn 89 octane.  Example a 427CID at 1.4HP per cube and 11 to 1 compression is 598HP.

1.5 HP per Cube  Compression at 11.5 to 1 Must use 91 octane or higher.  Dyno testing highly recommended.

1.6 HP per Cube.  Compression at 12 to 1 Must use 93 octane ONLY.  Dyno testing is a must.

You have a choice between the Summit LS  block or a Dart LS SHP Block, both with a max bore of 4.185  These offer greater strength for larger CID build with more HP.   You can build up to a 468 CID with either of these blocks with a bore of  4.185 and a stroke of 4.250”  All of these blocks come factory with a max stroke clearance of  4.250”.
